Governance

The RCVFD Board of Directors manages the business of the fire department, keeping everything running smoothly and ensuring that our mission can continue to be followed for many years to come. They work with the Operations Team on the annual budget, receive donations and pay vendor invoices, and help interact with insurance companies, licensing agencies, county government, etc.

Each of the major areas in the RCVFD response area have an Area Representative, whose job is resident outreach and education. Your Area Rep is a great first start when you have a question or need non-emergency assistance. You can reach out to any Board Member or Officer on our Contact Page.

We have monthly Board Meetings at Station 1 every third Wednesday of the month from 18:00-19:00. Every meeting is open to the public, so if you want to attend one you can just show up. If you would like an agenda beforehand, or if you have something specific you would like added to the agenda, contact our Board Secretary and she will be able to help you.

There is also an Annual Meeting every November where you can learn about the department's year in review, and what the next year's objectives are. Lunch is provided and the location and exact date are TBA, so watch your mailboxes for the announcements that come out in early October.

Get Involved

Being an Area Rep or other Board Member is a great way to get involved in RCVFD and get to know your neighbors. Come to a few Board meetings, introduce yourself, and get familiar with how things work. We would love to have you.
