Home Assessments
We offer free home ignition zone assessments to residents of the RCVFD response area as party of Larimer County's Wildfire Partner Program. Trained firefighter assessors will visit your property, evaluate fire risk factors, and provide personalized recommendations for reducing your home's vulnerability to wildfire.
Fire Adapted Communities
The Fire Adapted Communities (FAC) program helps neighborhoods take a coordinated, whole-community approach to wildfire preparedness.
Firewise
Firewise USA is a nationally recognized program that helps communities outside city limits take a proactive approach to wildfire preparedness.
Mitigation Tax Credit
Colorado offers a state income tax credit for expenses related to wildfire mitigation on your property. Qualifying work includes creating defensible space, removing dead trees, treating slash, and other approved activities.
