Wildfire Preparedness Day

Every year in May, RCVFD hosts a community Wildfire Preparedness Day and Fire Station Open House.

The Wildfire Preparedness Day is an opportunity for a relaxed community-centered event focused on wildfire preparedness. Living in the Wildland–Urban Interface (WUI) offers many benefits, but it also requires taking steps to reduce wildfire risk.

Stop by to learn from RCVFD and local wildfire experts about practical actions you can take to improve the chances of your home surviving a wildfire and how to prepare your family in case of evacuation.

This year (2026), the CWPP Team will have a draft of the new Community Wildfire Protection Plan available to look over and discuss. Please stop by and check out all of the hard work these folks have done to help make our community safer.
